If you are considering the installation of audio visual equipment for your meeting room, classroom or more sophisticated environment, and you are located in the Sydney basin, our AV consultants are available to meet with you to to ensure you get the right products and advice to satisfy your needs, and to inspect your site to ensure a successful installation.

The primary role of our consultants is to work with you to determine the following:

1. Define your current and likely future needs and wants from a usage and environmental perspective
2. Refine those needs by appreciating what different AV approaches and technologies may do for you
3. Ensure that we understand your position as to value; as opposed to being either cheap rubbish or expensive over-kill.
4. As part of this define an indicative budget mapped to those current and future needs.

If we have worked together to achieve 1 through 4, our AV consultants are able to determine the optimal solution to your needs and budget.

Coupled with point 1, sometimes our clients like to get a more concrete feel as to how any proposed AV solution is going to work. ECAV runs a number of seminars & workshops for customers wanting to get the best out of their meeting rooms, classrooms, training rooms ad board rooms.These are great opportunities to learn about AV and interact with your peers.

Over the past 12 years, East Coast Audio Visual has worked with business and government to identify needs, design and implement 1000's of these rooms. Yet amazingly (to us!), there is often little consideration given to maximising the effectiveness of these spaces. This can include:

• Room Usage - Will the room be used for more than just its primary purpose and in its normal layout, eg. training, video conferencing, social or client interaction? What are the implications for room layout, furniture, lighting, physical security, audio visual ergonomics, etc?
• Integration with IT environment - Does the AV technology conform with the organisation's IT standards for network security, bandwidth management, new software? How is technical help desk support provided?
• Buy-in and understanding - Are we getting buy-in to the meeting's outcomes? Are attendees distracted? Can we confirm understanding of what's being presented/discussed at the time?

When it comes to sourcing individual items of equipment, most customers are looking for the best pricing and generally haver a fair understanding of what their requirements are. So to compete on price, ECAV cannot justify on-site demonstrations or significant one-on-one training to allow potential customers get "up to speed" on AV products. However, we do provide the following:

• Our web-site - A growing set of content covering key aspects of AV. If you feel some aspect is missing, please let us know.
• Our demo room - Whilst we may not have the specific product you are after, you are welcome to visit us to discuss your requirements.
• Phone advice - We provide some phone advice but will generally point you to the web's resources.
• Educational - Fee-based, tailored training from AV experts allow you to develop a real appreciation of the intricacies of AV equipment..
