Focussing on the tools to help business and education in the changing world

The audio visual industry is expected to go through significant growth in the next decade on the basis of a number of global drivers:
- Continuing globalisation and distributed production to achieve business efficiencies will grow the need for more people communication - but increasing fuel prices and climate change concerns will have businesses seeking conferencing solutions as core functionality.
- An increasingly complex world and the need for operational flexibility means an explosion in information and the need to present it to the group. This has been the core of the audio visual industry since the overhead projector and microphone. Its current incarnation includes projection, display panels, sound systems, and the pc.
- Presenting information is not enough. Decisions and commitment only occur if participants are involved and engaged. This means having proper tools for business interaction and classroom interaction.
- If the organisation strongly endorses these points, this can mean adding to the complexity and frustration of work, if the AV systems are not set up properly and managed well. Control systems and AV administration can reduce these down-sides.
- Making such an investment in these technologies is more likely to occur as part of a restructuring of the office environment such that AV becomes a key component of the new Construction or Fit-out project.
